Trellis

Trellis
Trellis

This is a painting concerned with saturated colour, rhythm and falling. It is about the natural arc traced by our hands as we draw on a vertical surface; an etched line inscribed by weight, momentum, gravity and resistance. To follow a fine line across a surface, to incise, duplicate, erase, gather……a trellis for your thoughts.

The painting is built from translucent layers of deep alizarin reds and purples over cadmium yellows, stamped and printed, removed and reinstated. A kind of cradling.

Size: 61 H x 61 W x 5.1 cm

Keywords: reds, tranquil, colour field, abstraction, meditative

This is a deep edge canvas with white sides. It comes read to hang and does not require framing
